Ycellbio PRP — regenerative therapy made from your own blood.
Your blood already carries powerful healing signals. PRP gathers them into a small, concentrated dose and delivers it straight to the injured area, helping your body repair itself naturally.
Blood is made of red cells, white cells, platelets and plasma. Platelets do more than stop bleeding. They release growth factors, natural messengers that tell your body to start repairing damaged tissue.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is plasma with many more platelets than normal. Because it comes from your own blood, the risk of allergy or rejection is very low.

What can PRP help with?
Common uses in sports and orthopaedics
Shoulder
Rotator cuff tears
Elbow
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
Tendons
Tendon injuries and long-lasting tendon pain
Knee
Knee arthritis
Bone
Fractures
How it works
Simple, quick and done in the clinic
Step 1
Blood draw
A small amount of blood (about 15 ml) is taken from your arm.
Step 2
Collection
The blood goes into a special Ycellbio tube.
Step 3
Spinning
The tube is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood.
Step 4
PRP extraction and injection
The concentrated PRP is drawn out and injected into the area that needs healing.
Why Ycellbio PRP?
More healing power from less blood
7–9×more platelets than normal blood
Normal blood1×
Medical benchmark for PRP4–5×
Ycellbio PRP7–9×
Highly concentrated
Ycellbio PRP holds 7–9 times more platelets than normal blood. The medical benchmark for PRP is 4–5 times.
Needs only a small blood sample
About 15 ml is enough.
Clean separation
A slim-neck Y-shaped tube lets the clinician see exactly where the platelet layer sits.
Precise control
A twist knob at the base moves the layers up or down for an accurate draw.
Fewer red cells
Ycellbio’s “Tornado” technique collects the most platelets while leaving red blood cells behind.
Works with any clinic setup
Compatible with both swing and angle centrifuges.
Is PRP right for me?
PRP is often considered when an injury is slow to heal, or for ongoing joint and tendon pain. Your doctor will assess your condition and decide whether PRP is suitable and how many sessions you may need.
PRP is prepared from your own blood, so there is very little risk of an allergic reaction. Your doctor will explain what to expect before and after treatment.
How much blood is needed?
About 15 ml, roughly one tablespoon.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition. Your doctor will recommend a treatment plan.
Platelet concentration above 1 million/µl, 7–9× baseline (vs. the clinical PRP definition of >1 million/µl, 4–5× baseline).

Regulatory note
Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare has published New Health Technology notices recognising autologous PRP therapy in orthopaedics: intraoperative PRP in rotator cuff repair (Notice 2022-224) and intra-articular PRP for grade 2–3 knee OA not responding to more than one year of conventional treatment (Notice 2024-254), as cited in the Ycellbio catalogue.
